Veteran journalist Amir Khasru died on Saturday while undergoing treatment at Bangladesh Medical University in Dhaka. He was 64.
Confirming the news, a family member said Khasru, a former executive editor of Weekly Budhbar, breathed his last around 7pm.
Khasru, who is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter, had long been suffering from various kidney and liver complications.
He was a former Bangladesh correspondent for Voice of America and a diplomatic correspondent for the daily Ittefaq.
