Bank Asia PLC organised a day-long “BAMLCO Training Program 2025” on September 20 to strengthen the knowledge and awareness of anti-money laundering (AML) and combating the financing of terrorism (CFT) among its branch anti-money laundering compliance officers (BAMLCO).

The program was inaugurated by Mohammad Ziaul Hasan Molla, deputy managing director of CAMLCO and head of Channel Bankin, at the Bank Asia Institute for Training and Development (BAITD) in Lalmatia, Dhaka.
The inauguration was attended by Mirza Azhar Ahmad and Akhteruddin Mahmood, deputy managing directors, and Tanfiz Hossain Chowdhury, SEVP and Zonal Head of the bank.

Resource persons for the session included Md Hafizur Rahman Khan and Md Mahmudul Haque Bhuiyan, Joint Directors of the Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU), who conducted the training.

BAMLCOs from various branches, centres, and Islamic windows of Dhaka zone, along with trade officials from the Central Trade Processing Centre (CTPC), participated in the training. The programme aimed to enhance the bank’s capacity in combating financial crimes and bolstering compliance efforts.
