BTS member Jimin has achieved a new milestone on Spotify, with his solo single ‘Like Crazy’ surpassing one billion filtered streams, Big Hit Music announced on 17 September, reports The Straits Times.
Released in March 2023, ‘Like Crazy’ served as the lead single from Jimin’s debut solo album, ‘Face’.
The synth-pop track made history by debuting at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100, becoming the first fully Korean-language song by a K-pop solo artist to top the chart.
The song spent five weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, while ‘Face’ remained on the Billboard 200 for seven weeks and peaked at No. 2.
‘Like Crazy’ also spent 60 weeks on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. US charts, reaching No. 2 on each.
In the UK, the song debuted at No. 8 on the Official Singles Top 100, marking the highest position achieved by a South Korean artist at the time.
It also topped the iTunes Top Songs chart in all 119 regions, further cementing its global reach.
The milestone adds to Jimin’s growing list of achievements as a solo artist following his debut with ‘Face’.
