The Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution on Wednesday launched its new e-Services Management System, bringing all BSTI services onto a single digital platform.

The system was unveiled at the BSTI headquarters in Tejgaon, where Industries Ministry Secretary (additional charge) Md Nuruzzaman attended as chief guest and formally inaugurated the software. BSTI Director General SM Ferdous Alam presided over the event.

Among those present were Fouad M Khalid Hossain, Deputy Chief of the Bangladesh Trade Facilitation Project; Ashraful Kabir, Managing Director of Orange BD Limited; and senior officials from the Ministry of Industries and BSTI.

The initiative has been implemented with funding from the United States Department of Agriculture through the Bangladesh Trade Facilitation Project, with technical support from Orange Business Development Limited. It aims to strengthen transparency, efficiency and accessibility in BSTI’s service delivery.

Under the new e-Service platform, customers can now access a wide range of BSTI services online, including product certification marks (CM licence), clearance certificates, halal certificates, management systems certificates, metrology licences, packaging certification, test reports and purchase of Bangladesh Standards (BDS).

Users will be able to submit applications, pay fees digitally, receive inspection notices, pay testing charges and track their applications in real time. BSTI officials, meanwhile, will be able to verify applications, issue inspection reports, send sample collection notices, deliver test results, recommend licences and issue licences once fees are received.
