HBO has announced three key cast additions for the second season of ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’, which is currently in production in Belfast and Spain.
Season 2 will adapt ‘The Sworn Sword’, the second novella in George R.R. Martin’s ‘Tales of Dunk and Egg’ series. Set several years after the events of the first season, the story sees Dunk and Egg, played by Peter Claffey and Dexter Sol Ansell, drawn into a bitter land dispute in The Reach during a devastating drought.
Lucy Boynton, known for ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ and ‘Murder on the Orient Express’ has been cast as Lady Rohanne Webber, also known as the Red Widow. Though rumoured to be a witch blamed for the deaths of her four husbands, Rohanne is in fact a politically astute and formidable young woman.
Peter Mullan, known for ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’, will portray Ser Eustace Osgrey, an aging knight and veteran of the First Blackfyre Rebellion, to whom Dunk pledges his service.
Babou Ceesay, known for ‘Into the Badlands’, joins as Ser Bennis, a hedge knight and ally of Dunk.
