The Jahangirnagar University (JU) authorities have formed a six-member Security Advisory Committee to maintain internal security and discipline on the campus.

An office order signed by Acting Registrar ABM Azizur Rahman has been issued on 1 October.

The order stated that Professor Mostafa Nazmul Mansur of the Department of Philosophy has been appointed as the adviser to the committee.

Professor Mohammad Tarek Chowdhury of the Department of Philosophy, Professor Nasrin Sultana of the Department of Government and Politics, Professor Md Kamruzzaman of the Department of Zoology and Professor Md Mahmudur Rahman of the Department of Public Administration have been appointed as members.

Deputy Registrar (Higher Education and Scholarship) Md Abdur Rahman has also been appointed as a member of the committee.

The order said the committee was formed to help maintain internal security and discipline on the university campus.
