West Bengal actress Mimi Chakraborty has once again found herself at the centre of wedding speculation, with reports claiming that she is set to marry later this year.
According to recent reports, Mimi’s prospective groom is Siddharth, a Kolkata-based marine engineer who works in the international merchant shipping industry.
Some earlier reports had described him as an Indian Navy officer, but a more recent report identified him as a senior marine engineer associated with UK-based Shell Ship Management Limited.
Reports say Siddharth studied at Calcutta Boys’ School before completing his education in marine engineering. He reportedly joined Shell Ship Management in March 2008 and began his career as a trainee before progressing to the position of senior marine engineer.
The reports further claim that Mimi and Siddharth may register their marriage in November, followed by a destination wedding in Kalimpong in December. Preparations are also reportedly underway among their close relatives and friends.
However, Mimi has not officially announced the wedding, and reports have noted that her assistant had no information about the matter.
Siddharth is not associated with the entertainment industry, although reports say he has been part of the wider social circle of some Tollywood personalities. He was reportedly seen with Mimi and her friends during a Durga Puja gathering last year.
Mimi has also reportedly not followed Siddharth from her verified Instagram account, adding another layer to the speculation surrounding their relationship.
For now, the reported wedding plans remain unconfirmed. Neither Mimi nor Siddharth has publicly spoken about their relationship or confirmed the November registration and December wedding.
