upay, the mobile financial service (MFS) of UCB Fintech Company Limited, a subsidiary of United Commercial Bank PLC (UCB), has partnered with NRB Bank PLC to expand access to digital financial services and improve customer convenience across Bangladesh, the companies said in a press release.
The partnership was formalised through a signing ceremony, where Shyamol B Das, Managing Director and CEO of UCB Fintech Company Limited (upay), and Tarek Reaz Khan, Managing Director and CEO of NRB Bank PLC, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
Under the agreement, upay customers will be able to access banking services including Add Money, fund transfers between NRB Bank accounts and upay wallets, Micro DPS, remittance disbursement and credit card bill payments.
The initiative aims to deliver secure, seamless and customer-focused financial solutions while supporting digital financial inclusion in Bangladesh.
The signing ceremony was attended by senior officials from both organisations, including Sajjad Alam, Head of Corporate Sales at upay, and Anwar Uddin and M Rashidul Huda, Deputy Managing Directors of NRB Bank PLC.
Through the partnership, upay and NRB Bank PLC said they aim to combine their strengths to make digital financial services more accessible, convenient and secure for customers while contributing to Bangladesh’s growing digital economy.
