The cover of Governance, Internal Audit and Compliance, authored by M Nurul Alam FCAS, Independent Director of The Premier Bank PLC and Chairman of Premier Bank Securities Limited, was unveiled at the bank’s Learning and Talent Development Centre in Banani, Dhaka on Wednesday, said a press statement. The event highlighted the relevance of corporate governance and internal audit practices for banking and corporate professionals.
Premier Bank Chairman Arifur Rahman conducted the unveiling as the chief guest, with Managing Director Md Monjur Mofiz, Deputy Managing Directors Niamat Uddin Ahmed, S M Wali Ul Morshed, Amalendu Roy, Mohammad Al-Amin, and department heads in attendance. Arifur Rahman emphasised the significance of governance, compliance, and accountability, saying the book would serve as a key reference for professionals, students, and researchers in the sector.
Md Monjur Mofiz said, “The author has captured his extensive professional experience, knowledge, and observations in the book, which will help readers understand the topics in depth and apply them in practical scenarios.”
Author M Nurul Alam FCAS explained that the book was inspired by his long professional career in corporate governance, internal audit, and compliance. He also noted that a commemorative copy was handed over to Finance Minister Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, who congratulated him on the publication, said the press release.
