Prime Minister Tarique Rahman released a special commemorative postage stamp in honour of Shahid Dibash and International Mother Language Day at Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Tejgaon.
Tarique arrived at the Tejgaon office at 10:10am, where he was accorded a warm reception by his Principal Secretary ABM Abdus Sattar and Additional Press Secretary Atiqur Rahman Rumon.
The return of the head of government to the Tejgaon premises after a significant interval generated notable enthusiasm among the officials and staff.
Prior to entering the main building, an emotional atmosphere prevailed as Tarique exchanged greetings with employees across various ranks.
He spent considerable time interacting with those who had previously served during the tenure of Khaleda Zia.
As part of his inaugural activities, Tarique planted a Swarnachampa (Magnolia Champaca) sapling within the PMO premises. Following the plantation, he participated in a special prayer (munajat) seeking the peace, prosperity, and welfare of the nation.
