Mostafizur Noor Imran is stepping behind the camera for the first time with the upcoming horror film ‘Djinner Bachcha’, which will premiere exclusively on streaming platform Chorki on February 19.
The film centres on a deeply unsettling premise. A mysterious child believed to be the offspring of a jinn appears within an ordinary household, raising disturbing questions about its origin and purpose. The newly released trailer suggests a psychological horror that builds tension through atmosphere and dread rather than conventional scares, with the creators hinting at a form of fear audiences may not anticipate.
For Imran, who is widely recognised for his acting career, the project marks an important milestone as he makes his official directorial debut. The film is produced by Methodica Creation in association with Master Communications.
The cast brings together a strong ensemble of performers including Mousumi Hamid, Azad Abul Kalam, Sarker Raunak Ripon, Anowarul Haque, Adrijeet Mondol, Ribon Khandaker, Rajeeb Hossain and Shakkhar Kundu Dip.
The story is written by Shakkhar Kundu Dip, while the screenplay is by Rajeeb Hossain. Mohibullah Shanto serves as director of photography. Editing and colour grading have been handled by Md Linkon, with sound design by Nazmul Chowdhury and music composed by E K Majumder Eshty.
