Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 3: The Conclusion has made a strong start at the box office, earning Rs 176.50 crore nett in India in its opening weekend and becoming the second-highest weekend opener of 2026, writes NDTV.

The Abhishek Pathak directorial trails only Dhurandhar 2 and has already surpassed the opening-weekend collections of Border 2, Toxic (Hindi) and Mirzapur: The Movie.

Drishyam 3 opened with Rs 66.75 crore nett in India on Friday, marking the biggest opening of Ajay Devgn’s career. It surpassed Singham Again, which had opened at around Rs 43.5 crore nett.

The film added Rs 53.50 crore on Saturday, taking its two-day domestic collection to Rs 115.50 crore. It then earned another Rs 61 crore on Sunday from 17,323 shows.

Its India gross collection stood at Rs 211.80 crore after three days, while the overseas gross reached Rs 61 crore. The film’s worldwide gross collection has reached Rs 272.80 crore.

Drishyam 3 also recorded the second-biggest Bollywood opening day of 2026. It earned Rs 95.10 crore worldwide on its first day, behind Dhurandhar 2, which opened with Rs 226.6 crore worldwide.

The film crossed the Rs 100 crore mark in India within two days. Its Saturday occupancy stood at 46.1 per cent despite a 13.7 per cent drop from Friday’s collection.

The latest instalment has also significantly outperformed its predecessors. Drishyam, released in 2015, opened at Rs 5.85 crore nett in India, while Drishyam 2 opened at Rs 15.38 crore in 2022. The second film eventually earned Rs 342 crore worldwide.

Drishyam 3 has already collected more than four times Drishyam 2’s opening-day figure.

Directed by Abhishek Pathak, the film stars Devgn as Vijay Salgaonkar, alongside Tabu, Jaideep Ahlawat, Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor and Prakash Raj.

The third and final instalment features an original story and is not narratively connected to the Malayalam Drishyam franchise. It released in theatres on October 2, coinciding with Gandhi Jayanti.
