A 23-year-old student of Dhaka International University has died after falling from the second floor of a building in Vatara Saidnagar, Dhaka. The deceased was identified as Fuad Naim.

The incident occurred at around 6am on Friday when he fell from the second floor of a seven-storey building adjacent to Boro Masjid in Vatara Saidnagar.

Seeing him, his classmates brought him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where the attending doctor declared him dead at around 8:15am.

Speaking at the hospital, the deceased’s roommate Sadman Sakib said Fuad was a third-year student of Dhaka International University and lived in a mess on the second floor of the house in Vatara Saidnagar.

In the morning, hearing screams from local residents, they woke up and went downstairs to find Fuad lying bloodstained on the ground.

He was immediately taken to Forayezi Hospital, from where he was taken to Kurmitola Hospital and subsequently to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where the doctor declared him dead. However, how he fell down could not be stated.

He further informed that Fuad’s home is in Tetulia village under Mithapukur Police Station in Rangpur, and his father’s name is Md Milon.
