UCSI University Bangladesh Branch Campus celebrated World Teachers’ Day 2026 with immense enthusiasm and festive warmth on Monday at the university hall in Banani, Dhaka.

Organised to strengthen the bond and mutual respect between teachers and students, this event brought together faculty members, students, and distinguished guests.

The celebration was attended by Ariful Bari Majumder, Chairman of IIL and Senior Vice President of UCSI University; Prof. H. M. Jahirul Huq, Vice President; and Major Suman Subhan, Provost, alongside deans and faculty members of various faculties.

Prof. ANM Meshquat Uddin, Vice Chancellor of Prime Asia University, joined the celebration as the special guest.

Deans representing different faculties addressed the gathering, including Prof. Mohammad J. Monir, Prof. Syed Akhter Hossain, and Assistant Prof. Zoha Rahman.

In his address, special guest Prof. ANM Meshquat Uddin emphasised that education extends beyond textbooks.

“Education is the key to building character and developing human values. We want our students not only to build successful careers but also to lead positive social change with honesty, dedication, and innovative thinking. Young minds should face challenges head-on and remain relentless in pursuing their dreams,” he said.

A major highlight of the occasion was the heartfelt expressions shared by students across departments expressing deep gratitude to their mentors.

“From the classroom to every step of our lives, the way you have stood by us, inspired us, and believed in our potential is invaluable. We will forever cherish your contribution and sacrifices in courageously shaping our dreams and building a brighter future,” student representatives remarked.

Delivering the concluding remarks, Prof. H. M. Jahirul Huq highlighted the university’s commitment to nurturing student-faculty relationships.

Following the discussion segment, students presented a vibrant cultural programme and musical performance in honour of their mentors.

The celebration concluded on a joyful note as guests, faculty members, and students joined together to cut a commemorative cake.
