United Commercial Bank PLC (UCB) will provide cash management and integrated collection and payment solutions to Akij Resource to support its financial operations, the bank said in a press release.
The agreement was signed recently.
UCB Senior Executive Vice President Shahbaj Talat and Akij Resource Director and Group Company Secretary Ruhul Islam signed the deal, with senior officials from both organisations present.
Advanced digital banking infrastructure and modern service capabilities will be used by Akij Resource to streamline its financial operations under the partnership.
Efficiency, speed and convenience in managing transactions and payment systems are expected to improve through the collaboration.
UCB Additional Managing Director Adnan Masud attended the ceremony.
Akij Resource Chief Treasury Officer Md Sheikh Sadi and Cluster Chief Financial Officer Ashfaque Hossain Chowdhury were also present, along with other senior officials from both organisations.
