James Bond fans on Nintendo Switch 2 will have to wait even longer to step into the shoes of the iconic spy. 007 First Light has been delayed again, with its Switch 2 release now pushed to March 2027.
According to ScreenRant, the game launched in May 2026 for PlayStation, Xbox and PC and has drawn praise as an entertaining action title that brings a younger Bond to life. Patrick Gibson’s performance as the suave spy has also earned praise for its emotional depth, while IO Interactive’s work has been hailed as a major success.
The Switch 2 version was originally due to launch alongside the other platforms in May. Developers later delayed it to add more polish, promising a summer release. The latest delay now leaves Nintendo players waiting until March 2027.
The news has sparked a mixed reaction among fans. Some have accepted the delay, arguing that a polished game is better than a rushed one. Others have grown frustrated after months of waiting.
One fan said the extra time would be “worth the wait” if it meant the game ran properly. Another urged the developers to consider using a standard 64 GB game card rather than requiring players to download part of the game.
