Two confirmed measles-related deaths have been reported across the country in the past 24 hours, while 1,235 new suspected cases were identified during the same period, according to data from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Of the fatalities, one was recorded in Dhaka Division and the other in Sylhet Division.
The DGHS, in its routine update published on Thursday, also confirmed 84 new measles cases during the 24-hour reporting period from Wednesday morning to Thursday morning.
Health officials said the outbreak continues to spread, with a significant number of suspected infections still being reported nationwide.
The report further states that since 15 March, a total of 49 children have died from confirmed measles infections across the country.
During the same period, an additional 227 children died after exhibiting measles-like symptoms.
According to official data, 37,131 people have shown symptoms consistent with measles since 15 March, while 5,028 cases have been confirmed through testing during the same timeframe.
Health authorities continue to monitor the situation as both confirmed and suspected cases remain elevated, raising concerns over ongoing transmission in multiple regions.
