BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman is scheduled to visit Moulvibazar on 22 January as part of the party’s campaign for the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election.
His visit comes just after the official symbol allocation on 21 January, which marks the formal start of the election campaign.
Following the allocation of electoral symbols, BNP will launch its nationwide public outreach and campaign efforts, with the Sylhet Division set to be the starting point.
Anticipation is building among BNP leaders and activists in Moulvibazar district, with preparations already underway for Tarique Rahman’s visit.
According to district BNP Secretary Md Abdur Rahim Ripon, Tarek Rahman will begin his visit by offering prayers at the shrines of Hazrat Shah Jalal and Hazrat Shah Paran (R) in Sylhet.
He will then attend a rally at the historic Alia Madrasa ground, where he will address supporters as the chief guest. This event is expected to mark the official launch of BNP’s election campaign in the region.
Moulvibazar District BNP Convener Md Faizul Karim Mayun confirmed that Tarique Rahman will also address a large public rally on the Moulvibazar Government High School ground in the afternoon of 22 January.
The rally is expected to draw a significant crowd, where he will deliver a keynote speech as the chief guest.
