CVO Petrochemical Refinery has halted its factory operations for 23 days from 7 September to 30 September for emergency maintenance, citing unavoidable operational circumstances.
The company disclosed the shutdown in a Dhaka Stock Exchange filing on Monday, saying management considered it necessary after assessing prevailing operating conditions.
The board of directors approved the temporary closure at its 139th meeting on 6 September and decided to keep the factory shut until 30 September. The company said the emergency maintenance is aimed at restoring operational efficiency and ensuring the sustainable continuation of its business.
The company is taking necessary measures to address the prevailing operational circumstances and resume factory operations as soon as possible, it said. CVO Petrochemical shares fell 3.35 per cent to close at Tk158.50 on the Dhaka bourse on Monday.
