Sony launched Bangladesh’s first authorised camera service centre alongside a new dedicated showroom at the Bashundhara City Shopping Complex in Dhaka. The facility, at Level 1, Block B, Shop #20 & 30, brings retail and factory-authorised servicing under one roof, allowing professional and amateur photographers and videographers to access direct official repairs in the local market for the first time.
The joint facility was formally inaugurated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday by Bashundhara City Development Limited Senior GM Shaikh Muhammad Mizanur Rahman and Sony Corporation Imaging Marketing Division Deputy GM Koji Sekiguchi, alongside FSI General Manager Chang Zong and Sony Regional Marketing (Singapore) Head of Marketing Yap Yung.
The centre operates daily from 11am to 8pm, except Tuesday. It is designed to provide fast support to eliminate equipment repair bottlenecks, ensuring creators do not face schedule disruptions or financial losses due to gear downtime, particularly during the peak wedding season, said a press release.
Sony Bangladesh plans to work closely with the country’s leading wedding studios and encourages consumers to purchase genuine products from authorised dealers, identifiable by an official 18-month warranty sticker, to ensure access to technical services for the Sony Alpha camera system and premium G Master lens series.
