Grameenphone (GP) has signed a partnership agreement with Titas Gas Transmission & Distribution PLC to enhance the state-owned utility’s operational efficiency through digital solutions and connectivity services.
Under the deal, GP will provide customised voice and internet services for Titas Gas employees across its nationwide network and support the company’s transition toward ICT and IoT-based management systems.
The initiative aims to modernise communication, data sharing, and service monitoring processes, according to a Grameenphone statement.
GP Head of Armed Forces, Energy Sector and Strategic Business Khandaker Riaz Rahman and Titas Gas Company Secretary Md Lutful Hyder Masum signed the agreement at the Titas Gas head office in Karwan Bazar, Dhaka.
GP Chief Business Officer Asif Naimur Rashid said the collaboration reflects both organisations’ intent to strengthen efficiency through data-driven operations. Titas Gas Managing Director Shahnewaz Parvez said the utility is adopting digital systems to improve transparency and customer service.
Officials from both organisations, including GP Head of Government and Strategic Business Nurul Ferdous Musanna, Strategic Account Manager Md Mahmudur Rahman, and Titas Gas General Managers Syeda Atia Bilkis, Kazi Mohammad Saidul Hasan, and Md Siddiqur Rahman, were present at the signing ceremony.
