National University Vice-Chancellor ASM Amanullah has said the university will complete the process of making its official activities paperless within the next three months.
He said the university would further expand the use of e-files while also archiving old documents, reports BSS.
The VC made the remarks on Monday while attending a certificate distribution ceremony as the chief guest at the university’s Senate Hall.
The ceremony marked the completion of a training workshop aimed at improving the technical and administrative skills of university officials.
The Human Resources Development and Good Governance Office organised the training programme titled “Enhancing Technical and Administrative Skills of National University Officials”.
The authorities distributed certificates among 183 officials at the event.
Amanullah said the university also needed to modernise its administrative activities in line with technological advancements.
“Those who have received master trainer training on e-files will have to work more actively in this regard. The old documents will be transferred to the archives. Such training programmes will continue.”
“There is a need for regular training to enhance the skills of officials. If the skills acquired through training can be applied to work, the pace of administrative activities will increase and transparency in the workplace will also improve,” he added.
