Grameenphone has launched a new Grameenphone Centre (GPC) in Barishal, expanding its customer service network with digital-first facilities and integrated telecom solutions.

The new centre, located on Bogura Road, was inaugurated with the participation of senior Grameenphone officials, including Farha Naz Zaman, Chief Marketing Officer; Md Ahsan Habib, Circle Business Head, Khulna; Abdulla Al Mahmud, Head of Customer Service & Experience; and Kazi Safayat Hossain, Grameenphone Barishal Customer Center Partner, said a press release.

The inauguration event was attended by members of the Grameenphone team, centre agents, customers and community representatives from the greater Barishal area.

Designed around the region’s identity shaped by its rivers, agriculture and guava orchards, the centre combines contemporary design with local elements. It will serve customers from Barishal Sadar and surrounding areas.

The newly launched facility offers Grameenphone’s telecom services, digital solutions, devices and advanced products under one roof, the company said.

“Customer experience is not just about where we serve our customers—it is about how we make their lives easier, better and more connected,” Farha Naz Zaman, Chief Marketing Officer of Grameenphone, said.

“As more of life moves online, our responsibility also grows: to give customers a powerful internet experience and help them navigate the digital world with greater confidence and security,” she said.

She added that the new Grameenphone Centre in Barishal combines products, services, digital and security solutions in a modern, digitally enabled space.

The company said the new centre reflects its continued investment in creating accessible, modern and sustainable service experiences while strengthening its connection with local communities.

Grameenphone, part of the Telenor Group, has more than 86.3 million subscribers and operates the country’s largest cellular network, covering over 99 per cent of Bangladesh’s population. Established in 1997, the company is listed on the Dhaka Stock Exchange and Chittagong Stock Exchange.
