Three more children have died from measles and measles-like symptoms in the country in the last 24 hours. Among them, one child died from confirmed measles and two children died with measles-like symptoms.

This information was provided in an updated report from the Directorate General of Health Services as of Monday morning, 8am.

According to the report, a total of 37 children have died from measles from 15 March to date. During the same period, another 183 children have died with measles-like symptoms.

In the last 24 hours, 174 new measles cases have been identified in children across the country. During this time, 846 children have been hospitalised.

The health directorate said the confirmed measles death in the last 24 hours occurred in Dhaka division. The deaths with measles-like symptoms occurred in Dhaka and Chattogram divisions.

Additionally, in the last 24 hours, measles-like symptoms were observed in 1,170 children nationwide. Among them, 846 were hospitalised. Of the hospitalised children, 382 are from Dhaka division.

During the same period, 862 children were discharged from hospitals after completing treatment, including 370 children from Dhaka division.

From 15 March to date, measles-like symptoms have been observed in 24,776 children nationwide. Among them, 16,172 children have been hospitalised, with 3,617 children confirmed to have measles. Additionally, 13,258 children have been discharged from hospitals.
