Popular singer Kanak Chapa has expressed her reaction on social media after failing to secure a nomination for a reserved women’s seat in parliament.
In a post shared on April 20 around 2:30 pm, the singer said she accepts every outcome in life as the will of Allah, adding that she responds with “Alhamdulillah” in all circumstances.
She noted that her approach remained the same even after previously attempting to enter national politics without success.
Kanak Chapa said she had re-entered the nomination process for the reserved seats, motivated by what she described as a desire to serve rural communities. However, as her name did not appear on the final list, she said she accepted the decision with gratitude.
She also told supporters that life continues beyond setbacks and expressed hope that positive opportunities may still come in the future. Describing herself as a simple person, she added that while she may have been evaluated differently by the party, she believes she still has contributions to make.
Thanking her well-wishers for their support, the singer said she remains committed to working for the country and its people and sought continued prayers and encouragement.
Kanak Chapa had earlier shown interest in contesting for a reserved women’s seat in the upcoming parliament, but was not included in the final selection list.
