Three more have died from suspected measles-related complications and 1,242 new cases have been reported across the country in the past 24 hours till Thursday morning, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The data, released by the Health Emergency Operation Centre and Control Room, shows that a total of 1,110 suspected cases and 132 confirmed cases were identified nationwide.
During the same period, three suspected deaths were reported, all in Dhaka division. No confirmed measles-related deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours.
In the same 24-hour period, 1,057 patients were admitted to hospitals, while 1,148 patients recovered and were discharged.
Since 15 March, a total of 68,056 suspected measles patients have been hospitalised across the country, of whom 64,293 have recovered. During this period, 83,139 suspected cases have been recorded, with laboratory tests confirming 10,059 infections.
So far, 550 suspected deaths have been reported, while 92 deaths have been confirmed as measles-related.
A divisional breakdown shows Dhaka as the worst-affected region, with 38,688 suspected cases and 6,959 confirmed cases, alongside 232 suspected deaths and 56 confirmed deaths.
Chattogram follows with 13,835 suspected cases and 791 confirmed cases, including 47 suspected deaths and 10 confirmed deaths.
In Barishal, authorities recorded 7,850 suspected cases and 317 confirmed cases, with 38 suspected deaths and 19 confirmed deaths.
Rajshahi reported 7,124 suspected cases and 1,119 confirmed cases, including 86 suspected deaths and 2 confirmed deaths. Khulna registered 6,063 suspected cases and 280 confirmed cases, with 23 suspected deaths but no confirmed fatalities.
Sylhet reported 4,296 suspected cases and 275 confirmed cases, including 66 suspected deaths and 3 confirmed deaths, while Mymensingh recorded 3,688 suspected cases and 246 confirmed cases, with 50 suspected deaths and 2 confirmed deaths. Rangpur remained the least affected division with 1,595 suspected cases and 72 confirmed cases, along with 8 suspected deaths.
