EXIM Islami Investment Limited (EIIL), a subsidiary of state-owned Shariah-based Sammilito Islami Bank PLC, has appointed Sammilito Islami Bank Board of Directors member Mohammed Ahsan Habib Chowdhury as its Chairman.
Sammilito Islami Bank Managing Director Abedur Rahman Sikder has been appointed as a Director of EIIL, said a press release on Thursday.
The appointments were made at the 78th meeting of the EIIL Board of Directors, held on Sunday at Sammilito Islami Bank PLC’s head office in Dhaka.
Mohammed Ahsan Habib Chowdhury presided over the meeting as the newly appointed Chairman of the EIIL Board of Directors. EIIL Independent Director Mohammad Shibbir Hossain, FCA, and EIIL Chief Executive Officer Md Monjurul Alam were also present.
