Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain in different parts of the country over the next 24 hours from 9am on Friday.

According to a Met Office bulletin issued in the morning, light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds are likely at a few places in Rangpur and Chattogram divisions and at one or two places in Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Sylhet divisions.

Day and night temperatures are expected to remain largely unchanged across the country.

The highest temperature recorded on Thursday was 36.5 degrees Celsius in Ramgati, while the lowest temperature on Friday was 21.5 degrees Celsius in Narayanganj.

In the 24 hours until 6:00am on Friday, the highest rainfall of 118mm was recorded in Tetulia.

The sun is expected to set at 5:59pm in Dhaka on Friday and rise at 5:46am on Saturday.
