Remark HB Limited is expanding its presence in Bangladesh’s growing modern retail market, increasing the availability of its personal care, skincare, home care and cosmetics products across major supermarket chains.
The company’s brands, including Lily, Orix, Acnol, Sunbit, Tylox, Nior, Siodil and Skin Mint, are now available through superstores in Dhaka and other regions as organised retail gains traction among consumers, according to a company press release.
Among the products, Lily Bodywash has emerged as one of the best-selling items in the modern trade channel.
Remark Modern Trade Channel Head of Sales Helal Uddin said the channel recorded notable growth this year compared with the same period last year, driven by wider product availability, stronger retail partnerships and increased visibility.
“The achievement is not the result of any single person or department; it reflects the combined efforts of our entire team. The biggest success for us is gaining customer trust,” Uddin said.
The company’s strategy focuses on building long-term consumer confidence through quality products, research and technology, while expanding its reach in both domestic and international markets.
Increasing product presence, improving displays at supermarket outlets and strengthening field operations are among the priorities for meeting this year’s sales targets.
Remark supplies products through major modern retail chains, including Shwapno, Agora, Meena Bazar, Unimart, Best Buy, Prince Bazar, Alpha Mart, Mustafa Mart and Apon Family Mart.
Beyond the domestic market, its products are exported and marketed in the United States, the Middle East, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines and India.
Quality initiatives include BSTI halal and cGMP certifications, while the company received the Green Factory Award in 2025 for environmentally responsible manufacturing practices.
A sales meet held in Dhaka on Wednesday reviewed the performance and future plans of the modern trade channel. More than 200 key account managers, area managers, merchandisers and brand promoters attended the event.
The programme evaluated sales performance and recognised five top performers – Hafsa Akter of Smart Big Bazar in Cumilla, Farhana Akter of Shwapno in Mawna, Sraboni Saha of Shwapno in Narayanganj Bandar, Sumaiya Islam Mitu of Shwapno in Mirpur Ring Road, and Halima Khatun Nodi of Shwapno in Bogura’s Maltinagar.
Brand promoter Sraboni Saha said repeat purchases and positive customer feedback were strong motivation for frontline teams.
“Customers returning to buy Remark products after their first purchase show the trust they place in the brand,” she said.
