Two people were killed and at least eight others injured after a bus hit two vehicles on the Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway in Trishal Upazila of Mymensingh on Thursday morning.

The deceased were passengers of a CNG-run auto-rickshaw, but their identities could not be confirmed immediately.

Police and local residents said a Dhaka-bound United Paribahan bus first hit a stationary Mahindra vehicle in the Kazir Shimla area around 8:30am and then rammed into a passenger-carrying auto-rickshaw.
