Pooja Dadwal, who made her Bollywood debut opposite Salman Khan, has found a new path away from the film industry. After years out of acting, the former actress now runs a home-based food business.
According to NDTV, Dadwal made her film debut in the 1995 film Veergati, opposite Salman Khan, when she was just 17. She later appeared in a few films and television shows, including Aashiqui and Gharana.
After marriage, Dadwal moved to Goa and began working at a casino. Her life took a difficult turn in 2018 when she was diagnosed with tuberculosis and developed serious lung problems.
Facing financial hardship, she returned to Mumbai for treatment. She later spoke about her condition on social media, bringing her situation to Salman’s attention. He reportedly helped cover her medical expenses for several months. Actor Ravi Kishan also reportedly supported her during the difficult period. NDTV reported at the time that Salman’s Being Human Foundation helped with her treatment and other essential needs.
After recovering, Dadwal tried to return to acting and appeared in a film in 2020. However, the comeback did not lead to a major return to Bollywood.
She has now turned to a different career. Dadwal runs a home-based food business, preparing meals and delivering them to customers. Recent reports have described it as a small tiffin service that helps her earn a living away from the spotlight.
Once recognised as Salman Khan’s co-star, Dadwal is now building a new chapter through her food business.
