After nearly four decades of searching, popular Bangladeshi actress Priyadarshini Mousumi has finally found her beloved childhood home tutor, Ana. The two have already spoken, bringing an emotional reunion after years of separation.

When Mousumi was in Class Six, Ana was studying for an honours degree in Bengali at the University of Dhaka. She used to tutor Mousumi and her younger sister Snigdha, teaching them English in particular and helping them with other subjects as well. Mousumi continued her studies until Class Nine.

Ana has lived in Paris, France, with her husband and children for many years. Although Mousumi often remembered her former teacher and wanted to meet her, she could not find her. Over the past several years, however, Mousumi had spoken about Ana several times in the media.

With the help of journalist Abhi Moinuddin, Mousumi eventually tracked down her former teacher. The two have since spoken over the phone.

Mousumi also recalled studying with Snigdha and two sisters named Mukta and Shukta. “We used to study together. Madam was very affectionate towards us. She would give us tests and gifts when we did well. Madam is a true example of how wonderful a home tutor can be. I wish her every happiness. Inshallah, we will definitely meet someday.”

Speaking from Paris, Ana said she had heard about Mousumi from Mukta and Shukta many years ago. She said Mousumi had since found her and called her.
