Police detained 23 people from a mosque at Tejgaon College in the capital after Friday prayers, suspecting them of having links to a militant outfit.

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) conducted the raid based on intelligence information, according to senior officials of the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit and Tejgaon Division.

Police sources said they received information that a secret meeting was taking place at the college mosque and subsequently conducted the raid, detaining 23 people.
