Deepto TV’s popular mega serial Bokulpur returns with its third season on 19 September, bringing Jatra Pala, rural romance, power struggles and fresh mysteries to the story.
Written by Ahmed Shahabuddin and directed by Hasan Rezaul, Bokulpur Season 3 will air from Saturday to Thursday at 7pm on Deepto TV, DeeptoPlay and Deepto TV’s digital platforms. Dreamnil Productions is producing the serial.
The new season retains popular characters from the first two seasons while introducing several new ones. The story once again unfolds in the rural world of Bokulpur, but this time Jatra Pala becomes a major part of the narrative.
Abbas Beg has once again been elected chairman of Bokulpur Union, while former chairman Diba loses the election. During Abbas’s victory procession, the mysterious Nandini and her rival Meherjan arrive to welcome him with garlands.
After taking charge as chairman, Abbas organises a Jatra Pala in the village through Nandini, responding to the villagers’ request. A new Jatra troupe, The New Malancha Opera, then arrives in Bokulpur.
However, influential villager Ujan Dewan tries to stop the troupe. His conflict with Abbas is also linked to his younger sister Naiyari.
Meanwhile, Meherjan becomes involved in a dispute with Lilabati Sarkar. When Lilabati faces a terrorist attack, suspicion falls on Meherjan. A telephone call, however, changes the direction of the investigation and shifts suspicion towards Asma.
Asma later faces a similar attack, further changing the course of the investigation. SI Farhad begins to suspect that someone is working behind the scenes to keep Bokulpur unstable. The mystery centres on whether that person is Dadabhai or one of his agents.
The cast includes Azizul Hakim, Sushma Sarkar, Tahmina Sultana Mou, Azad Abul Kalam, Deepa Khandakar, Kachi Khandakar, Naresh Bhuiyan, Sharaf Ahmed Jibon, Saidur Rahman Pavel, Anisul Haque Barun, Sanjib Ahmed, Devora Quiyah Silvia, Upoma, Anu, Disha, Shahed Shahriar, Shakil Ahmed, Moin Hasan, Shamim Mollah and Mustafiz Shaheen, among others.
Bokulpur Season 3 will air six days a week from 19 September at 7pm on Deepto TV and its digital platforms.
