Taylor Swift has once again proven her unmatched box office power. Her latest theatrical release, ‘The Official Release Party of a Showgirl’, has earned an estimated $46 million worldwide in just three days, despite being a limited, three-day-only engagement.
According to Variety, the special event collected $33 million domestically and another $13 million internationally, debuting as the No. 1 film at the US box office for the weekend.
With this, Swift surpasses the total earnings of over a dozen 2025 Hollywood releases, including ‘M3GAN 2.0’ ($39.1M), ‘Nobody 2’ ($39.4M), and ‘Wolf Man’ ($34.1M).
Unlike her 2023 record-breaking ‘The Eras Tour’ concert film, which grossed $261.6 million globally, Showgirl is not a performance documentary but a behind-the-scenes look at her new album, ‘The Life of a Showgirl’, featuring exclusive footage and promotional content.
Even with minimal promotion and a limited run tied to her album’s October 3 release, Showgirl has become the 47th highest-grossing film of 2025 so far, underscoring Swift’s enduring ability to turn her music projects into global box office events.
Though no accompanying tour is planned, the film’s success suggests Swift may continue to explore theatrical experiences, a strategy that has proven both lucrative and record-breaking for the pop superstar.
