Carrie Anne Fleming, best known for her role as Karen Singer in the long-running series ‘Supernatural’, has died at the age of 51 following a battle with breast cancer.
Her representative confirmed that she passed away peacefully on February 26, surrounded by loved ones. In a statement released on March 22, she was remembered as “a beautiful soul, inspiring and above all, kind”.
Fleming began her acting journey after studying drama in Victoria, British Columbia, before landing early roles in ‘Happy Gilmore’ and the television series ‘Viper’. She later became associated with the horror genre, notably appearing in ‘Masters of Horror’, where she played the lead in the episode ‘Jennifer’.
Her other credits include ‘The Tooth Fairy’ and ‘Bloodsuckers’, but she remained widely recognised for her role in Supernatural, where she portrayed the wife of Bobby Singer, played by Jim Beaver.
Following her passing, Beaver paid tribute to his co-star, recalling their instant connection on set and the close friendship that followed.
