Southeast Bank Training Institute hosted a half-day workshop on 30 August 2025, titled “Internal Control for Anti-Fraud and Related Significant Compliance Issues of the Bank”. The workshop aimed to reinforce the bank’s commitment to improving compliance, governance, and anti-fraud practices.

The programme was graced by the Independent Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Southeast Bank PLC Barrister M. Moyeen Alam Firozee as the Chief Guest. Managing Director (Current Charge) of the bank Abidur Rahman Chowdhury was also present at the event.

The keynote address was delivered by the Joint Director at Bangladesh Bank Training Academy Md. Farhad Hossain, who emphasized the importance of internal controls and compliance in preventing fraud.

Officials from the bank’s Internal Control & Compliance Division (ICCD) and Manager Operations from 15 Dhaka-based AD branches participated in the workshop. This initiative reflects Southeast Bank’s ongoing efforts to enhance its internal control systems and strengthen its anti-fraud measures.
