Sonali Bank PLC held its 19th Annual General Meeting on 20 May at the head office board room, the bank said in a press statement. Muhammed Mahbubur Rahman, chairman (current charge), presided over the meeting, attended by shareholders, directors, managing director and CEO, and company secretary. Nazma Mobarek, Secretary of the Financial Institute Division, represented the Ministry of Finance.
Shareholders and directors reviewed and approved the financial statements, balance sheet, profit and loss account for 2025, alongside the Director’s report and auditors’ report, the statement said. They also approved the appointment of auditors for the fiscal year 2025.
The AGM reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to transparency and corporate governance while providing shareholders with a detailed overview of financial performance and strategic objectives, the press statement added.
The bank said the meeting was conducted in line with regulatory requirements and ensured shareholder participation in decision-making processes for the bank’s future operations and auditing oversight.
