Shahjalal Islami Bank (SJIB) PLC held the 92nd meeting of its Shariah Supervisory Committee at the boardroom of its corporate head office, where members reviewed compliance across the bank’s Islamic banking operations.

The meeting was presided over by Shariah Supervisory Committee Chairman Mufti Shamsuddin Zia, who led discussions on Shariah compliance issues and provided guidance and approvals on matters placed before the committee.

Members of the committee, including Mufti Mizanur Rahman and Mufti Abdullah Masum, were present at the session.

Shahjalal Islami Bank Managing Director and CEO Mosleh Uddin Ahmed and Head of Shariah Secretariat Md Abul Bashar also attended the meeting.

The session focused on ensuring adherence to Shariah principles across the bank’s activities, with committee members reviewing operational practices and offering direction on relevant issues.

The formal proceedings began with recitation from the Holy Quran and concluded with Doa and Munajat, with participants expressing hopes for the continued prosperity of the bank.
