Shwapno has opened its second outlet in Dhaka’s Bashundhara Residential Area, expanding its footprint in one of the capital’s fastest-growing neighbourhoods as organised retailers race to meet rising demand for modern grocery shopping.
The new 10,200-square-foot outlet in Block F is Shwapno’s 975th store nationwide, strengthening the chain’s presence in Bashundhara and surrounding communities.
Located at Plot 633/A, Block F, Road 19, Sabrina Sobhan 4th Avenue, beside the Block-F Jame Masjid, the outlet will serve residents of Bashundhara’s F, L and M blocks as well as nearby neighbourhoods.
The expansion follows sustained demand from local residents seeking easier access to organised retail, Managing Director Sabbir Hasan Nasir said in a press statement on Thursday.
Customer confidence has underpinned Shwapno’s growth, he said, noting that the retailer has been recognised as Bangladesh’s best retail brand for 10 consecutive years and now ranks as the country’s sixth most valuable brand across all sectors.
The new store offers fresh fish, meat, fruits and vegetables alongside grocery items, dairy products, bakery goods, frozen foods, personal care products, household essentials and other daily necessities under one roof.
Business Director Sohel Tanvir Khan, Head of Operation for Big Box Premium Outlet Md Kaushik Rahman and other company officials attended the inauguration.
The opening extends Shwapno’s nationwide expansion strategy as modern retailers continue investing in neighbourhood stores to capture growing consumer demand and deepen organised retail penetration across Bangladesh.
