Salman Khan is taking his signature screen persona to a new platform, launching an official YouTube channel where fans can get a closer look at the mannerisms and style that have defined his on-screen image, states Hindustan Times.
The Bollywood star announced his digital venture, ‘Being Salman Khan’, on Friday, 9 October. His first videos feature humorous takes on acting, body language and dialogue delivery.
In one clip, Salman appears as two versions of himself: an acting and personality coach and a student. The coach guides the student through the gestures, expressions and dialogue delivery associated with the actor’s familiar screen persona.
Salman also promoted the channel through his Instagram Story, inviting fans to follow the new venture. “Shuru se shuru karte hain. Mera official YouTube channel. A se Z tak sab yahan milega,” he wrote, meaning that everything from A to Z would be available on the channel.
The channel had already attracted 36,300 subscribers following its launch.
Salman joins a growing list of Bollywood personalities using YouTube to reach audiences beyond films and television. Actors such as Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Kartik Aaryan also maintain channels on the platform.
Filmmaker Farah Khan has built a following through celebrity cooking vlogs featuring visits to stars’ homes and informal conversations. Her channel, launched in 2024, has crossed 3.2 million subscribers. Archana Puran Singh has also gained an audience with family-focused videos featuring her husband, Parmeet Sethi, and their sons.
Meanwhile, Salman continues to host the 20th season of ‘Bigg Boss’. On the film front, he is set to appear in ‘Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace’, directed by Apoorva Lakhia and co-starring Chitrangada Singh. The film has been postponed, and its new release date remains unannounced.
