Four members of a family suffered burn injuries in a fire caused by a gas pipeline leak in Kachpur, Narayanganj, early Sunday.
The injured are Md Sharif, 34, his wife Rozina, 30, Rozina’s brother Riaz, 22, and Md Roni, 19. They were admitted to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.
Sultan Mahmud Shikder, a resident physician at the burn institute, confirmed the incident.
He said, “Rozina suffered burns to 60 per cent of her body, her husband Sharif to 40 per cent, Riaz to 40 per cent and Roni to 70 per cent.”
“The conditions of all the injured are critical,” he added.
