Mohammed Shahabuddin left Bangabhaban on Sunday afternoon, two days after resigning as president.
At around 2:30pm, he departed the presidential residence with his family and went to his house in Dhaka’s Gulshan, ending his stay at the official residence.
The former president’s motorcade included the presidential car along with 18 law enforcement vehicles.
From noon, journalists waited in front of Bangabhaban, while curious crowds gathered on the road. Law enforcement personnel were also active in the area.

Shahabuddin submitted his resignation letter to Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmad on Friday afternoon.
Meanwhile, before his resignation, renovation work had already been carried out at his Gulshan residence, Green Villa. On Wednesday and Thursday, staff from Bangabhaban went to the house to complete the repairs.
At a press conference on Sunday, Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed said the former president will receive all facilities for the next six months under the rules.
During this period, he will be provided security by the Special Security Force (SSF), the President Guard Regiment (PGR), and the police.
