Buet students have expressed solidarity with the demands of students at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (Cuet).
They announced plans to hold a protest rally and form a human chain at Shahbagh intersection in the capital on Tuesday. They also called for the Prime Minister’s intervention to resolve the crisis at Cuet and demanded the arrest and trial of those involved in the attack on a university bus.
A statement was issued on Monday under the name “Amitrakkhor 21” on behalf of BUET students, expressing solidarity with the demands of Cuet students. In the statement, they voiced deep concern over the unrest surrounding the appointment of Cuet’s Vice-Chancellor.
