Caribbean superstar Rihanna has become a mother for the third time. She and American rapper ASAP Rocky welcomed a baby girl, named Irish Meyers, on September 13. The 37-year-old singer officially announced the news on Instagram on Wednesday, sharing the first photos of her daughter.
In one image, Rihanna is seen cradling the newborn, dressed in a pink one-piece. Another shows the baby wearing tiny pink gloves tied with a ribbon. On Rihanna’s hand, a ring inscribed with the word “Mom” gleams, marking the special moment.
News of the pregnancy first surfaced on May 5, when Rihanna surprised fans by revealing her baby bump in New York. ASAP Rocky later confirmed the news on the red carpet at the 2025 Met Gala.
Rihanna and Rocky went public with their relationship in 2020. They welcomed their first child in 2022, followed by their second in 2023, announced in dramatic fashion during Rihanna’s Super Bowl halftime performance.
Though she has stepped back from releasing music in recent years, Rihanna confirmed in a recent interview that work on a new album is underway, though no release date has yet been revealed.
