Siam Ahmed-starrer ‘Rakkhosh’ is set to reach more audiences with a release on 30 single screens from Friday, April 3, in addition to its run in multiplexes.
The film, initially limited to multiplexes to prevent piracy, had generated high demand from viewers at conventional cinemas.
Producer Shahreen Akter Sumi said, “Audiences have said their Eid does not feel complete without watching Rakkhosh. Due to strong demand from cinema owners, the film will launch on 30 screens initially, with plans to expand gradually.”
Directed by Mehedi Hasan Hridoy, the film stars Sushmita Chatterjee from Kolkata alongside Siam Ahmed, with Ali Raj, Sohel Mondal and others in supporting roles. Bollywood actress Natalia Janoszek appears in a special song sequence.
Hridoy’s second film Rakkhosh exists in the same cinematic universe as the Shakib Khan-starrer ‘Borbaad’, the director’s cinematic debut.
Produced by Shahrin Akter Sumi and Azim Harun under the banner of Real Energy, the movie was shot across Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Mumbai, India.
