Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) said it arrested two suspected criminals during an operation in Khulna city, seizing a firearm and ammunition.
The arrestees are Billal Sipai alias Billu, 26, identified as the ringleader of “B‑Company,” and his associate Robiul Islam Roni alias Hridoy, 21. Both are residents of Rayermohol, RAB confirmed.
Acting on secret information, a special team of RAB‑6 raided the Rayermohol (Munshipara) area Sunday afternoon and detained the two men.
A search of Billu’s house led to the recovery of a foreign pistol, a magazine, and five rounds of ammunition. The arms and ammunition were seized in front of witnesses, and a seizure list was prepared.
RAB said Billal faces four ongoing cases in Aroanghata and Horintana police stations, including charges under the Arms Act and attempted murder.
Following the operation, a regular case under the Arms Act was filed at Aroanghata Police Station. RAB‑6 confirmed the accused, along with the seized evidence, have been handed over to local police.
