Raihan Rafi’s much-discussed film ‘Pressure Cooker’ is set to make its OTT debut, giving audiences another chance to watch the story of four women navigating the pressures of life in Dhaka.

The film will start streaming on Hoichoi Bangladesh from 8 October. The platform confirmed the release on Friday, 2 October, following days of speculation about its digital premiere.

Released in cinemas during this year’s Eid-ul-Fitr, ‘Pressure Cooker’ drew attention for moving away from conventional commercial storytelling and placing four women at the centre of its narrative.

Announcing the OTT release, Hoichoi described the film as a story of four women whose lives become increasingly tense under the pressures of Dhaka.

The digital release is expected to attract viewers who missed the film during its theatrical run and now have the opportunity to watch it from home.

Shabnam Bubly, Nazifa Tushi, Maria Shanto and Snigdha Chowdhury play the four central characters. Fazlur Rahman Babu, Shahiduzzaman Selim, Misa Sawdagar, Azizul Hakim and Farzana Chhobi appear in important roles, while Chanchal Chowdhury makes a guest appearance.
