Hunt Theatre is bringing a mature take on love to the stage with its latest production, ‘Tobuo Prem Ashe’, following the positive response to its debut play ‘Café de Volte’.
The play will be staged on 7 October at the Studio Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, with shows at 6pm and 7:30pm.
Written and directed by Diana Meriline, the production explores the bond between two mature individuals who find comfort, trust and refuge in each other. It moves away from conventional ideas of love and presents it as a natural part of everyday life.
Shafee Bin Kabir has adapted the play for the stage. The cast includes Sarah Jabin Aditi, Supti Das Chaity, Diana Meriline, Neon Ahsan, Saim Bin Mujib and Jerome Progga Modhu.
Md Mokhlesur Rahman oversees lighting, while Chirls Neloy Chowdhury handles sound and music. Annesha Biswas Agni has choreographed the production.
The creative team also includes Maliha Fairuz Farin Melissa and Supriya Ghosh for set and props, Rahmat for costumes, and Sarah Jabin Aditi and Shubhashish Haldar for poster and digital archiving. Sumel Chowdhury, Sajjad Kabir and Reshmi Chakma provide vocals.
