A couple of months ago, The TIMES of Bangladesh reported that Puja Chery had been cast as the female lead in Redoan Rony’s upcoming film ‘Domm’.
While the production company and director had not confirmed the news at the time, it has now been officially verified by the film’s production house, Alpha-i Entertainment.
According to sources, filming is set to begin in Kazakhstan at the end of October. The project is a joint production between SVF, Alpha-i Entertainment and Chorki.
Based on a true story, Domm is described by director Rony as “a tale of survival.” He explains, “You could call it a story about the fight to endure. There’s also an international connection, which we’ll reveal officially later. To put it simply, it’s about the power that lies within ordinary people.”
The film is being made with the goal of releasing during Eid-ul-Fitr next year.
When asked about the production timeline, Shahriar Shakil, head of Alpha-i, said, “Yes, Domm is happening; that much we can confirm. But it’s still too early to comment on the exact shooting dates or the full cast lineup beyond Chanchal.”
The film will feature Chanchal Chowdhury and Afran Nisho alongside Puja Chery in key roles.
